Kansas City International Airport Implements New Public Health Measures to Combat Virus
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (March 12, 2023) - In response to the growing concerns surrounding the spread of the virus, Kansas City International Airport (KCI) has implemented a number of new public health measures to help protect the health and safety of its passengers and employees.
The new measures include:
- Increased frequency of cleaning and disinfection of high-touch surfaces in the airport, including restrooms, gate areas, and baggage claim
- Provision of hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the airport
- Encouragement of social distancing measures, including the use of floor markers to indicate safe distances in queues
- Posting of signage throughout the airport with information on how to prevent the spread of the virus
- Restriction of access to the airport to essential personnel only, with the exception of ticketed passengers
- Implementation of temperature screenings for all passengers and employees upon entry to the airport
